The New Marvel Movie: What’s it all about?
With so many Marvel movies coming out, it’s hard to keep track of them all. Here’s a quick guide to the new Marvel movie, so you can be up-to-date on all the action!
The New Marvel Movie: The Characters
Marvel Studios’ “The Avengers: Infinity War” is the culmination of ten years and eighteen movies worth of build up. The previous films in the “Avengers” franchise and the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe have introduced dozens of now-iconic characters, and “Infinity War” brings almost all of them together for the first time. Here’s a guide to some of the most important players in the film, as well as where we last saw them.
-Captain America/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans): After his friend Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) was framed for a terrorist attack, Rogers spent much of “Captain America: Civil War” trying to track him down, eventually coming into conflict with his fellow Avengers. When we last saw him, he was living off the grid with Barnes and fellow fugitive Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie).
-Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.): After Sokovia was destroyed by Ultron in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Stark took measures to ensure that such a thing never happened again, vowing to monitor potential threats to Earth using a network of artificial intelligence drones. This led to him coming into conflict with Rogers in “Civil War,” eventually leading to him being put under house arrest. He wasn’t seen again until the post-credits scene of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” when Wilson approached him about rejoining the Avengers.
-Thor (Chris Hemsworth): After causing mass destruction in his home world of Asgard in “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor brought what was left of his people to Earth, only to find that they had been followed by Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and an army of aliens known as The Children of Thanos. In the ensuing battle, Loki was captured by Thanos (Josh Brolin) and Thor was blown out into space. He was last seen rescued by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
-Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson): After her part in dividing the Avengers in “Civil War,” Romanoff went underground, helping Rogers track down Barnes while avoiding arrest herself. She reunited with Rogers and Wilson at the film’s climax, and her current whereabouts are unknown.
-Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo): After seemingly defeating Ultron at Sokovia’s expense, Banner went on the run with Romanoff before eventually resurfacing in New York at the beginning of “ Civil War .” He fought on Team Iron Man during the airport battle scene , but after being defeated by Bucky Barnes , he retreated back into hiding . His current whereabouts are unknown .
This is just a small sampling of some of the major players in “Infinity War.” With such a large cast , it would be impossible to list every character here . But hopefully this will give you a little more insight into who everyone is and what they ‘ve been up to leading up to this highly anticipated movie .

We already know that there will be some classic hits from the ’90s, including songs by No Doubt, Garbage, and Nirvana. But we can also expect some original music specifically written for the film. The film’s composer, Pinar Toprak, has said that she was inspired by ’90s grunge and action movies when writing the score. So, fans can expect a mix of old and new when they listen to the Captain Marvel soundtrack.

Marvel movie fans were treated to a pleasant surprise this week when the newest trailer for The Avengers: Infinity War was released. The much-anticipated film, which is set to be released in May, looks like it will be packed with enough action to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. But what really sets this film apart from its predecessors is the visual effects.

The majority of the visual effects shots in Infinity War were created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), who also worked on films such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Blade Runner 2049. Other companies that contributed to the visual effects include Weta Digital and Framestore.
“It’s been an incredible experience working on this movie,” said Visual Effects Supervisor Dan DeLeeuw. “Our team has put in a tremendous amount of work and we’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished.”
